Bruxism
Protect your teeth and your comfort
Prevention, Treatment, and Dental Comfort
Bruxism consists of involuntary grinding or clenching of the teeth, most often at night without the patient always realizing it. The consequences of bruxism are erosion and tooth wear as well as muscle or joint pain.
The treatment consists of restoring the worn and sometimes sensitive teeth, but also of wearing a semi-rigid protective mouthpiece during the night which will have a double function: to protect the teeth from wear and tear and to progressively relax the masticatory muscles, thus lessening the pain and tension.
